Want to amp up the romantic mood this Valentine’s Day? Here are 10 of the greatest love songs at No. 1 in the Hot 100, according to Billboard, an American music magazine.

1. “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston 

This song was number one on the Hot 100 list for fourteen weeks in 1992. It also hit the No. 1 Hot Country Songs spot in 1974 when sang by Dolly Parton, the composer of this hit. 

2. “I’ll Make Love To You”  by Boyz II Men

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for 14 weeks in 1994. Boyz II Men was originally skeptical of recording a song so similar to the group’s other hit, “End of the Road,” but its positive reaction by fans made the band members change their minds.  

3. “We Found Love”  by Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for 10 weeks in 2011. This is considered Rihanna’s biggest hit and the top love song of the 21st century.

4. “Endless Love” by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for nine weeks in 1981 and won a Marquee Award in 1982 for Best Original Song.

5. “Let Me Love You” by Mario

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for nine weeks in 2005. It also held the No. 1 spot in Germany and New Zealand as well. 

6. “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé feat. Jay-Z

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for eight weeks in 2003. Beyoncé performing this song with her husband, Jay-Z, makes this one extra special for Valentine’s Day. 

7. “Dreamlover” by Mariah Carey

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for eight weeks in 1993. Mariah Carey’s vocals, like many of her earlier recordings, were inspired by Minnie Riperton, American singer and songwriter known for her five-octave vocal range. 

8. “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by UB40

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for seven weeks in 1993. While this song was originally performed by Elvis, his version never made it past the No. 2 spot. 

9. “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for four weeks in 1980. Supposedly, songwriter Freddie Mercury came up with the lyrics while taking a bath. 

10. “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis

This song was No. 1 on the Hot 100 list for four weeks in 2008. Jesse McCartney originally co-wrote the song and intended to sing it, but did not receive positive feedback from his label.
